Rockville

Rockville is located north of Bethesda off I-270. Rockville remained an agricultural community through much of the 18th and 19th centuries until the B&O Railroad arrived in 1873. With a direct line from Washington, Rockville’s population increased and new ventures were pursued outside Washington’s boundaries. Today Rockville is home to a number of research offices and headquarters for both private and public enterprises.

Quality of Life:

A Farmers Market offering fresh locally grown fruits and vegetable is available every Wednesday from June through October and every Saturday from May until November. The yearly events such as the Fourth of July fireworks and the Hometown Holidays are wonderful. Dining at Rockville Town Center is convenient and one can find almost any type of cuisine to satisfy the discerning tastes of children and parents alike.

Residents can pick up the Red Line metro at the Rockville station. Main roads are I-270, Rockville Pike, Wootton Parkway, Norbeck Road and Gude Drive. The MARC train is also available at Rockville station.
